My eighth visit to the USA was in 1990, and I went with my friends John Moore, Alan Findlay, and Bernie Keating.

We took a flight into Chicago, Illinois, staying overnight, before driving San Francisco, California, for our flight out to Hawaii, then after our tour of The Islands, we took a flight back to LAX, Los Angeles, California, visiting Disneyland, Magic Kingdom, Anaheim.. On this trip we started off in Chicago, Illinois, and heading in a northwesterly direction towards San Francisco, California.

We were in Chicago, Illinois, before travelling on our way to San Francisco, California, visiting on the way Springfield, Illinois, St Louis, Missouri, Arrow Rock, Missouri, Abilene, Kansas, Dodge City, Kansas, Fort Larned, Kansas, Kinsley (Midway USA), Kansas, then to Colorado Springs, Colorado, staying with our friends, Margaret and Ronnie Crowe, then up to Pikes Peak, Colorado, Estes Park, Colorado, Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado, Newcastle, Wyoming, Mount Rushmore National Memorial, South Dakota, Flathead Lake, Montana, Alberta, Canada, Banff National Park, Alberta, Ice fields, British Columbia, Jasper National Park, British Columbia, Valemount, British Columbia, Mount Terry Fox, British Columbia, Mount St Helens, Washington State, Mount Rainier National Park, Washington, Reno, Nevada, Reno, Nevada, Virginia City, Nevada, Bodie State Historic Park, California, San Francisco, California. We then took a flight out to Hawaii, staying on Oahu, Maui, and The Big Island. After our tour of The Islands, we took a flight back to Los Angeles, California, visiting Disneyland, and staying with our friends Phil and Jane Miller in Costa Mesa, California, before our flight back to the UK. A total memorable vacation.
