Stellenbosch - Drakenstein Correctional Centre – Franschhoek - Boschendal Wine Estate, South Africa - 2017.

Up this morning at 06:00 am, followed by breakfast, we departed our hotel at 08:00 am. Visiting along the way and spend time at each place, Stellenbosch, which is a beautiful old university town, then off to Drakenstein Correctional Centre, visiting the Nelson Mandela Statue at the top of The Walk To Freedom, from here we went to Franschhoek, another very beautiful little town, which also became a lunch stop for us.

The last place on our day out was at the Boschendal Wine Estate, for a look around this beautiful estate and some well-deserved wine tasting.

We arrived back at the Devon Valley Hotel, chilling out, then a beautiful dinner buffet, which was a Cape Malaya Flavour Buffet, very nice it was.

And of course this was followed by a few beers after this great day out touring around the local areas.
