Johannesburg, South Africa Tour - 2017.

After a very long overnight flight from London Heathrow Airport, UK, we arrive in Johannesburg, South Africa at around 10:10 am local time, Once through passport control and customs we were met along with rest of the tour group, by our Riviera Travel reps Coleen & Dale. We made our way towards our hotel in Johannesburg, but firstly stopping off at The Apartheid Museum, staying here until 2:00 pm. We had a good look around this very interesting museum. Once we arrived at our hotel, The Indaba Hotel, we were given a welcome drink, then off to our rooms, having a little chill out before we went for our dinner at Chiefs Boma Restaurant, this was a fantastic meal, along with a few beers to help it go down. Back to room tired and ready for bed at 9:15 pm after a very long day.

Wednesday/08 February - 2017.

Johannesburg To Kruger National Park, South Africa Tour – 2017.

After a good night’s sleep here in Johannesburg, we were up early, breakfast at 06:00 am, then prepared for our long journey to The Kruger National Park, where we had accommodation for 3 nights. The highlight of this travel was stopping off to view the beautiful Blyde River Canyon, I don’t think we spent enough time there, but what we did see was excellent. After a very tiring travel to Kruger we arrived at our hotel at around 5:00 pm, this was very beautiful, and was called The Hippo Hollow Country Estate.

I was ill travelling down to Kruger, as I had a reaction to the Malaria Tablets, so I had to go straight to bed when we arrived, while Scona & Ray went for dinner.
