Tuesday 09/July – 2019.  Bruges, Belgium – 2019.  - Up early this morning, shower, followed by breakfast at 08:00 am.Today we were off to visit in this order, Memorial Museum Passchendaele 1917, we spent around 2 hours here looking around the museum and gardens at Passchendaele. Then we were off to Ypres, visiting The In Flanders Fields Museum, followed by a self-guided tour of this little town, visiting The Menin Gate Memorial to the Missing.

Some of our group stopped off in Ypres for a spot of lunch, before we departed for the final part of our journey.

This was at Tyne Cot Commonwealth War Graves Cemetery and Memorial to the Missing is a Commonwealth War Graves Commission burial ground for the dead of the First World War in the Ypres Salient on the Western Front. It is the largest cemetery for Commonwealth forces in the world, for any war. “This Was A Very Moving Experience”

After our visit to Tyne Cot, it was back on our coach for our trip back into Bruges, time for a shower, then out for dinner and a few beers around the local pubs, before finishing off back at our hotel for a couple of more beers. An End To Our Third Day, Everyone Very Merry & Happy – And Moved By Our Tours Today.
