Day 9.
Sunday 01/July - 2018.
Riga, Latvia - 2018.
We arrived in Riga, Latvia at around 07:00 am, and after breakfast we were ready and disembarking at 10:00 am. It was only a short walk from our ship, to the city of Riga.
This was a very beautiful city to walk around, the pedestrian-only medieval Old Town has many shops and restaurants. Riga is a UNESCO World Heritage site, its skyline tells the story, as the timeless Gothic spires, cobblestones and breath taking river views. We went up to the tower of St Peters Church for some fantastic views of Riga.
We were very lucky to be here today, as we witnessed Latvia’s Song and Dance Celebration parade, with people from all over Latvia coming together for this fantastic parade. After our walk around Riga, we made our way back to our ship arriving at 1:45 pm. That afternoon we had lunch and a beer in The Islands Buffet. We chilled out for rest of the day, before going for dinner at The 47° Restaurant at 7:00pm.
After dinner we went for a couple of beers, followed by a fantastic show at The Broadway Show Lounge. And finished our night off, having drinks in some of the bars and lounges around this beautiful ship. An End To A Great Day.
