Waskerly To Smiddy Shaw Reservoir Walk, County Durham, UK - 2022.

Distance = 4.16 mile – Time = 1:31:52.

Today (17/March - 2022) we had our weekly "Old Men's Walk & The Lasses" - Myself and 4 friends, John Finlay, Maureen Finlay, Tony Tweddle & Elaine Bowden, we went to Waskerley Way, County Durham. “This walk took us around 1 and half hours".

Once we arrived and parked our car, we set off on our walk onto the moors towards Shaw Reservoir, taken in the beauty of this very rugged landscapes that surrounded us, this was heavy going, as this is a very rugged landscape. It was a very cold day up on the moors. The wind was very strong, but we had a bright day.

After we finished our walk, we stopped off at Hownsgill Farm, Tearooms, for tea, coffee, scones & tea cakes. I always take my little Lumix camera with me, just to record our walks by taken photos while on the move. Just to think, only about 18.2 miles from my home I can be into some beautiful countryside, within around a 31-minute drive.
