Thursday 14/November – 2019. Amble To Hauxley, Northumberland, UK – 2019.
Today (Thursday 14/November - 2019) we had our weekly "Old Men's Walk & The Lasses" - Myself and 2 friends, John Finlay & Maureen Finlay, we went to Amble, Northumberland. “This walk took us around 2 hrs:45 minutes". It was freezing today walking, first 10 minutes we had to take shelter out of the rain/sleet/wind. Freezing windy conditions throughout this walk, on this late autumn day.
Once we arrived and parked our car, we set off on our walk up past Amble Marina, and on through the grassland’s and onto the beach towards Hauxley. We stopped off at Hauxley Nature Reserve Visitors Centre for coffee. After we finished in the visitors centre, we made our way back to our car at Amble Marina, we walked back along the grasslands and up on the sand dunes, on this freezing cold windy day here on the Northumberland Coast.
Another Great Walk. Once we finished our walk, it was into the car & back home again. I always take my little Lumix camera with me, just to record our walks by taken photos while on the move. Just to think, only about 34 miles from my home I can be into some beautiful countryside, within around a 50-minute drive.
