Thursday 16/August – 2018. Corbridge, Northumberland, UK – 2018.
As part of our weekly walks myself, and 2 friends Tony Tweddle & John Finlay, set out on our walk from Corbridge, Northumberland. “This walk took us around 2 & half hours and was aprox 6.5 miles.”
Once we arrived and parked our car, we set off crossing the road and walking down the Tyne, keeping the river on our left side. We filtered off to our right through the woods and fields, with about 3 heavy climbs, till we reached the top. We then started walking to our right along some beautiful country lanes, until we got to a point where we turned right towards Corbridge, down some beautiful woodland areas, through fields, until we got back to our car. After arriving at our car, we had a stroll up into the village, calling in at local butchers (JD Hall Family Butchers) for fantastic quality meats, I bought some of their beautiful peas pudding & my friend Twed bought plenty of meat supplies, then it was on our way home.
"Another Great Walk On A Beautiful Day" I always take my little Lumix camera with me, just to record our walks by taken photos while on the move. Just to think, only about 15 miles from my home I can be into some beautiful countryside, within around a 35 minute drive.
