Thursday 26/October – 2017. Blanchland, Northumberland, UK - 2017.
As part of our weekly walks myself, and friends, Tony Tweddle, Ray Pallan & John Finlay, set out on our walk around Blanchland, Northumberland, we spent around 3 hours on this walk.
We spend around 3 hours walking up through the beautiful Blanchland Moors, and through the adjoining countryside. We stopped off for a sit down and a bit talk, before continuing on our walk, along the River Derwent, before arriving back into the beautiful village of Blanchland, Northumberland. I always take my little Lumix camera with me, just to record our walks by taken photos while on the move. Just to think, only about 38 miles from my home I can be into some beautiful countryside, within around a 45-minute drive.
Once we get there, we park the car and set off on our walk, always ending our walk with a beautiful pint of shandy in a local pub (The Punch Bowl Inn, At Edmundbyers), along with a soup and sandwich.
