Thursday 24/August – 2017. Rothbury To Thropton, Northumberland, UK - 2017.
As part of our weekly walks myself, and friends, Tony Tweddle, Ray Pallan & John Finlay, set out on our walk from Rothbury to Thropton, Then back to Rothbury again. We spent around 3 hours here in total, walking on this round trip. We headed a short walk along the River Coquet, then crossing a bridge we took one of the beautiful country walks along the beautiful farmland areas, which was an excellent place to get some good photos of this beautiful area.
We eventually came into Thropton, myself and Ray took the opportunity to spend around 20 minutes resting our legs on the village seat while waiting for a bus back to Rothbury, as both of us were having lots of pain in our hips. Twed & Fid walked back to Rothbury, and we met them there. Myself and Ray took the opportunity of walking around the village of Rothbury, taken photos while we waited for Twed & Fid to get back.
I always take my little Lumix camera with me, just to record our walks by taken photos while on the move. Just to think, only about 34 miles from my home I can be into some beautiful countryside, within around a 45-minute drive. Once we get there, we park the car and set off on our walk, always ending our walk with a beautiful pint of shandy in a local pub, along with a snack.
