John Macs Local Countryside Walks, North Of England, UK .

Myself and  friends, Ray Pallan, Tony Tweddle, John Finlay, Maureen Finlay, Elaine Bowden, Maureen Forster, Eddy Forster  & Graham Hepple, who are also retired, go out for walks in our local countryside most Thursdays (It's Like Last Of The Summer Wine).

Myself and my friend Ray Pallan, first started doing these walks in 2014. As I  had not done much exploring around the beautiful countryside that we have here in The North Of England, places like Northumberland, Cumbria, County Durham and Tyne & Wear.

Not only is it a great way to catch up, but also good exercise, I always take my little Panasonic Lumix camera just to take advantage of the ever so beautiful scenery while out walking.

Our walks last for between 2 to 4 hours, followed by a sandwich, coffee and having a nice pint of beer in local pub.

We can always get by car to the walking area, within one hour or around 45 miles from our homes, here in the Tyne & Wear area of The North Of England.
