Haltwhistle, Northumberland, UK - 2017.

As part of our weekly walks myself, and friends, Maureen Finlay, Ray Pallan & John Finlay, set out on our walk on The Lambley Viaduct Walk, Northumberland.

We spent around 3 hours here walking on a roundtrip route on this beautiful walk within Northumberland.

The landmark was built in 1852 and consists of 9 arches standing at a height of 35 metres (110 feet) above the South Tyne River. Once you reach the viaduct , you ascend to the bottom by steps and handrail, the view of this bridge is fantastic from the bottom.

I always take my little Lumix camera with me, just to record our walks by taken photos while on the move.

Just to think, only about 42 miles from my home I can be into some beautiful countryside, within around a 45 minute drive.

Once we get there, we park the car and set off on our walk, always ending our walk with a sandwich and coffee.
